On November 14, Laboratory Field Services (LFS) launched an update to PERL, the online application system for personnel licenses and certificates. Among other things, the update will allow licensees and certificate holders to submit renewal applications online. Paper renewals will be accepted if postmarked by November 30. After November 30, paper renewals will be returned unprocessed and all personnel renewals must be completed online.
The new online renewal system will require licensees and certificate holders to upload electronic copies of their CE certificates. Previously, licensees and certificate holders were only required to list information found on the CE certificate issued by a California Continuing Education Accrediting Agency after successfully completing the course.
If you are no longer in possession of CE certificates issued by CAMLT, they can be replaced for a nominal donation ($25 for database search and $5 per replacement certificate). Those needing replacement CE certificates should email office@camlt.org with your name, the date of CE completion/event, and/or six digit course number.
