Letter To Health Care Vendors
The E & R Board sent a letter to vendors outlining the goals and plans of CAMLT E & R Foundation and requesting corporate support for our current efforts to alleviate the shortage of Clinical Laboratory Personnel:
Dear Supporting Vendors,
Healthcare personnel shortages are an every day dilemma with resolution depending on the participation and input of many. Given your company’s strong role in the field of laboratory medicine, we are inviting your assistance in moving toward alleviating laboratory personnel shortages and maintaining a constant, competent base for those professions.
The California Association for Medical Laboratory Technology Education and Research Corporation (d.b.a. CAMLT E&R Foundation) is a California nonprofit corporation completely dedicated to making education and research opportunities and resources available to persons entering and already engaged in clinical laboratory sciences and the laboratory professions. In fact, the stated mission of CAMLT’s E&R Foundation is to provide just such opportunities and resources. To fulfill this mission, the Foundation endeavors to develop vehicles, both monetary and practical, that provide the tools for students and practitioners to further their careers. The Trustees of the Foundation consist of members of the CAMLT association, educators and industry partners.
With the decline in the number of people entering the Clinical Laboratory field, the E&R Foundation is looking for ways to help students achieve their goal of completing school, assist individuals that would like to re-enter the field and encourage those in the field to further their education.
The E&R Foundation is seeking to increase partnership/alliance arrangements with vendors to achieve the goals set in the mission of the foundation. It is a win-win situation for all of us.
We are now appealing to industry for support for current endeavors as well as new innovative processes that will further the clinical laboratory sciences. Ideas such as internships, broader scholarships, and forgivable loans have been put forward and we look to you for insightful and inventive input.
Please consider how your organization can partner with CAMLT’s E&R Foundation to continue to support and encourage the growth of the Clinical Laboratory Sciences and its professions. We look forward to working with you.
Respectfully,
Deborah Revier, CLS
